Get Fit To Get It Up

erectile-dysfunction-300x199Yep that’s right….we are going to talk about Erectile Dysfunction today. It may seem a little strange, but this is a serious issue I have been wanting to write about for awhile now! So, learn why you need to get fit to get it up!

In the fitness industry, we often refer to “E.D.” aka Erectile Dysfunction as Early Death aka “E.D”.

Although there are many causes for Erectile Dysfunction, it definitely indicates something is wrong and in many situations, can be a symptom of some other very serious health issues.

If all the equipment is working correctly, when a guy gets turned on, his brain will send a message through the nervous system down the spinal cord to his penis. This message will result in a dilation of his blood vessels allowing blood to flow freely into the penis causing the penis to become hard and ready for sexual intercourse.

In terms of becoming as healthy as you can, start to become a student of nutrition, fitness, exercise, your body…The beauty of learning is it can happen in a variety of different ways through books, articles, DVDs, workshops, webinars, or mentors. If you want to improve your nutrition, start reading nutrition based articles, purchasing books on the topic, taking a healthy cooking workshop or hiring a nutrition consultant or registered dietitian to help guide you through the process. If you want to start exercising, read about proper conditioning and programming, purchase a DVD, take a practical clinic, or hire a personal coach or trainer who can hold you accountable and teach you safe and effective techniques. Cardiovascular Exercise

Will improve your heart, lungs, circulatory system, muscles, bones – ok, let’s just say, it will improve your total body’s physiology. Ideally, you need to perform sustained cardio for a minimum of 20 minutes using aerobic activities like walking, running, biking, swimming, dancing or hiking to improve your endurance. Move That Body

It’s hard to live your best life and achieve all your dreams if you’re not at your physical best. 

Unfortunately, more than half of our population is overweight or obese and out of shape. The International Obesity released a report that says we expend about 500-800 calories less per day than we did a few decades ago. All the labor saving devises like remote controls, escalators, elevators, moving walkways and the internet that are supposed to be making our lives easier are in fact making us sick and slowly killing us. If you think about it, that’s equivalent to a 5-8 mile run!  That’s how much less we move our bodies today! Daily movement is absolutely critical to counteract our sedentary society.
