Heart Bslloon Fall in LOVE…With Fitness!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the LOVE bug has struck many making it a great opportunity to address the benefits of working out together with your special someone.  Spending quality time with your honey will help to keep you both healthy and fit and will benefit all areas of your life including your marriage or relationship!  Most studies report that working out together will help each of you stick to the program – it’s harder to cop out when you know someone is counting on you.  Plus working out with someone else makes it fun – you almost forget you’re working out!  And you may even find that you each work out a lot harder side by side versus being alone – it’s a competitive thing.

Even I Don’t Wake Up Looking Like Cindy Crawford

Healthy Tradition of Women 300x203 Even I Dont Wake Up Looking Like Cindy Crawford

Hard to believe…I know icon smile Even I Dont Wake Up Looking Like Cindy Crawford

The truth is that Cindy Crawford was once quoted as saying, “Even I don’t wake up looking like Cindy Crawford!”

Often people have very unrealistic expectations of the type of body they would like to achieve. They often refer to popular magazines to determine their ideal body. But they are ignorant to the fact that many of the models are 23 percent underweight to begin with, have been made-up for hours, enhanced with camera tricks, and still, once the photos are developed, the pictures are cropped, airbrushed and manipulated by computer to produce a very unrealistic, unhealthy, so-called “perfect” image.

It’s very important for you to examine your genetics and to understand that fat loss is dependent on your genetic breakdown. About half of fatness is genetically determined. You can’t change this!

So examine your parents and your family to determine the types of expectations you can place upon yourself. Some people have good genes and have it easy in terms of maintaining an ideal body weight. And others have to work a lot harder. But at the end of the day, you make the choice to do the work necessary to look good, feel great and live life to the fullest! Laws of Success with your exercise and nutrition program

Posted by on March 19, 2012 at 11:31 pm

Spring is on the way and the longer days give many people a renewed sense of energy and many will start a spring training program.  But did you know that 70% of people who start an exercise program drop out within the first two to three months?  These are not good odds!  It’s now widely accepted that the problem has nothing to do with the person but rather with the process.  You see, most people who want to start exercising just start.  Imagine if you wanted to build a house.  You’d start out with an architectural plan first to know exactly what you wanted your house to look like.  Or what if you wanted to start a business?  The banks would require a business plan first, right?  They’d want to ensure that you’ve really thought it through carefully and you’ve got a good plan to enhance success.  Well, these same guidelines apply to exercise.  You’ve got to have a plan for success.  This is why the first few months of your fitness experience are so important.  This is when most people drop out.  You definitely want to focus on getting past this initial stage to the point where you’re experiencing great results – and that alone, will help to motivate you to keep going.  The problem is most people stop exercising before they even had the chance to see the changes to their body.  Let’s not let that happen to you!

After working with various clients for a number of years, I’ve noticed a  number of characteristics that separate those who succeed with their fitness program from those who do not.  Those who succeed buy into the “Four Laws of Success”.  You must be ready to accept these laws without exception.
